Guide · Campervan & caravan

Choosing a mattress for your campervan or caravan:
here’s how.

In a campervan or caravan, every bed is different: a bevelled corner by the door, a rounded foot end or a size you won’t find ready-made anywhere. This guide helps you choose the right shape, thickness and mattress, and measure everything correctly.

Guide

Step by step
to the right mattress.

Would you rather get started right away? Draw your bed in the configurator, or let us measure in your campervan or caravan for free.

AMeasure the base, not the old cushions

Old cushions have often sagged or shrunk. So measure the board or base the mattress will lie on.

  • Measure the width at both the head and the foot end, and the length on both the left and the right.
  • Watch out for wheel arches, doors and cupboards that still need to open.
  • Take a photo from above with the tape measure in shot: you can send it along.

How to measure every shape

BChoose the right shape

Most campervan beds are one of these shapes. You pick them in the configurator and immediately see a scale drawing.

  • Rectangular, but in a non-standard size.
  • One or two bevelled corners, for example by the door or the cab.
  • A rounded corner or a rounded foot end (Queen).
  • A shape that isn’t listed? Send a photo or a drawing.

CChoose the thickness

In a campervan or caravan every centimetre counts: there are often cupboards above the bed, and an overcab bed has little headroom. So measure how much space there is above the bed as well.

For each model you choose from these thicknesses in the configurator: Sleepergo 18 or 21 cm, Lord 15 to 23 cm, Supreme 21 or 23 cm, Elite Visco One 21 or 23 cm.

DChoose the comfort

Every model is available made to measure. In short:

  • Sleepergo: 380 pocket springs per m², 5 zones (essential comfort).
  • Lord: monoblock cold foam HR45 (firm comfort).
  • Supreme: 400 pocket springs per m², 5 zones (comfort plus).
  • Elite Visco One: 680 pocket springs per m², 7 zones (premium comfort).

Which mattress suits your sleeping position?

EThink about moisture and ventilation

A campervan or caravan sometimes sits unused for weeks. A few habits keep your mattress fresh:

  • Air it regularly and stand the mattress upright for a while after a trip.
  • Don’t leave damp items on the mattress during winter storage.
